[That's the boy. Mohammed pockets his phone (still cracked) and walks up to Toushiro.]
Toushiro? It's good to see you.
[He's an adult you can trust, he conveys with a smile. One that will make sure you don't end up in trouble and get you home before curfew. One who, when smiling, actually looks his age rather than appears to be in his 30's.]
[ it's him! it's the boy. and he is much shorter than mohammed. ]
Yes. It's...nice to meet you.
[ he's trying, really. trying to at least attempt to be a little more sociable. he's awkward and stoic, but he'll participate in conversation if mohammed has anything he wants to ask. ]
[The movie theater is cold, since management wants everyone to freeze while watching a movie, but Mohammed is certain his discomfort will leave soon. He hasn't been able to control his powers very well since receiving them last week, but body temperature control is easy enough that he can stay warm wherever he is.
Theater 3 is on the opposite end of the hallway. Mohammed pauses in front of the concession stand.]
Popcorn? [Personally, he never eats when he's seeing something good, but it's only polite to offer.]
[ toushiro on the other hand has brought a jacket. the boy's small, so he's prone to getting cold more easily. (he bundles up a lot when he's on the ice rink, more than you'd think).
normally, toushiro would refuse popcorn and go into the theater without anything. but..that would be kind of weird around someone you just met, right? so... ]
[ toushiro is oblivious and doesn't know that mohammed intends on buying something for him, so he simply stands next to him at the counter, ready to order. ]
[ when they walk into the theater, it's mildly crowded. not overly so, but just about what you'd expect for a new movie a few days after its release. it's a good thing they don't have a big party because there are only a few seats left; toushiro moves quickly to grab two on the edge, not wanting to be too picky. ]
Go in. [Mohammed is large enough that he'll have to apologize to each member in the crowd as he squeezes past their seats to on in the middle. The edge is perfect. He waits for Toushiro to sit first before taking the one at the end.]
Did you hear about this movie before? It's about a man who hasn't seen his family for years going home to his parents and twin brother. It's very much an interpersonal drama.
Pretty good. The first half is good enough as a straightforward drama, but the reveal that the main character got involved in organized crime propelled the themes of forgiveness and dark secrets.

Sure.
[ he steps in line. ] Want anything?

[But if he's supposed to "hang out" with someone, he probably should join in on the fun.]
Actually, I'll get some candy for myself.
[He pulls out a ten dollar bill, prepared for pay for the both of them.]

One small popcorn, please.

It's my treat.
[Toushiro most likely doesn't have a decent paying job, and adults look after the youth. Even if Mohammed really isn't that old.]

toushiro does have a job (it's part-time, but whatever) and he blinks a bit as mohammed slides his bill across the counter. ]
There's no need for that. Let me pay you back.
[ he'll hold up his bill in front of mohammed. ]
no subject
It's easier to pay for them together. You can reimburse me afterwards.
[Their popcorn and candy arrive, and Mohammed slides his bill the moment they near the counter.]
no subject
[ he appreciates the gesture, at least. once it's paid for and everything comes out, he'll shove the bill at mohammed again, eyes firm. ]
Take it.
[ that was really nice of you but take his money!!! ]

We should go in and claim a good spot. [He holds his bag of candy by his side and heads to their theater.]

I've seen previews for it on television, but hadn't thought I would come to see it in theaters. What were the reviews like?

[ something something plot twist. he bites on one of the popcorn pieces, holds it out towards mohammed in offering. ]

They did? What about the part where his old gang runs into him? There's no intense violence, but it's still a brutal scene.
[That was supposed to be a shocking reveal.]
